Bernard A. Squitieri, CEO
Contact Bernard Squitieri
In 1995, Express Medical Transporters was founded by its President/CEO, Bernard A. Squiteri. Before relocating to St. Louis, Bernie managed a fleet of 250 taxi cabs in the Bronx, New York. While visiting family in St. Louis, Bernie recognized the opportunity for non-emergency transportation after reading an article describing Missouri's health care system. As part of the system, safe transportation had to be provided to health care clients. "When I started, it was just me and a 1989 Chevy Caprice. I went around to HMO's and brokers and told them I wanted to do their transportation," Bernie said. "They said, 'Where are all of your vehicles?' I told them that if they gave me business, I would grow." EMT did grow. Today, EMT employs over 200 people at its St. Louis location and clears millions of revenue annually. Our company also has several franchises across the country and continues to grow. For over a decade, EMT has provided an efficient, high quality and affordable service that has catapulted it to be largest for profit non-emergency transportation company in the state of Missouri.

Contact Christina Gunn
Christina Gunn came to St. Louis from Mississippi with a background in the gaming industry and real estate. She started out in the gaming industry as a Table Games Supervisor. In 2007, Christina moved to St. Louis in pursuit of new opportunities. Coincidentally, EMT experienced unparalleled growth the same year and Christina seized the opportunity. She started out as an assistant manager learning the particulars of the transportation business. During that time she was able to be involved with many different departments with many operational aspects of the business while maintaining an administrative role. Her diverse background served as a good foundation while taking on the challenges of learning a completely different business. She quickly adapted and settled into the EMT family.
As the business needs have changed, so have her duties. As Comptroller, she is responsible for any and all administrative duties including accounting, Human Resources, and Risk Management. Being a part of the EMT team means being able to multi task and serve many roles to accommodate the daily needs of the business. This is a big part of how EMT works as a team. It is important that the team is able to interact in such a way that individual duties change to what the business dictates. Christina has excelled at this challenge and enjoys being part of the administrative success the company has achieved.
When asked how she liked making the transition to an unfamiliar business she commented, "I believe in Bernie Squitieri and his passion for his company” and all its business. I believe he is an awesome leader who will grow EMT to unlimited bounds and I am proud to say I am part of the team that made it “happen."
